No Metalhead that I've ever known hasn't been fully conversant with the irony and absurdity that many of our favourite bands demonstrate - I love my Power Metal and hate that people feel a need to point out the D&D lyrics or endless widdly-widdly guitar solos to me as though they've somehow hit on a hidden truth which has laid obscured for years. Pointless negativity from people who've never actually tried to create anything themselves - that's hipsters for you.
